Damage of Plastic Bags on Land Animals

Land Animals

Flamingos, platypuses, pelicans, and calves all die from one single environmental disaster: plastic bags. They all suffer from ingesting the bags or getting deep cuts on them. Many people just drop the plastic bags away thinking that no one will notice but, sooner or later, an animal will notice and will eat it. The animal will be ingesting plastic and eventually, it clogs up their gut or, it does not digest. Either way, the animal dies of starvation. They have even ended up in national parks. The picture on the left, shows an animal in a national park in Kenya. This animal has a plastic bag that is stuck in its mouth.
